Clinical Analyst

Role Purpose:
Under general supervision and following established policies and procedures, is responsible for analyzing, assigning and closing of chart deficiencies in the electronic record system.
Responsibilities:
Observes patien t confidentiality and Analyzes medical records for content to ensure compliance to entity and regulatory standards in order to optimize clinical outcomes.
Ensures that all discharged records are analyzed, completed and episode closed in order to achieve optimal physician satisfaction.
Concurrently works a variety of daily reports in EPIC to include Analysis Pending, Final Analysis, Doned/Declined, CC Routing, and other reports as assigned by manager in order to improve physician satisfaction.
Conducts thorough searches for physician documentation and notes in comment boxes within EPIC prior to assigning deficiencies. Ensures that physician auto-populated deficiencies (H&P's, Discharge Summaries) have been accurately assigned in order to optimize physician satisfaction.
Supports the Physician In-Basket, dictation system and answers all physician questions and comments regarding their deficiencies in a timely manner and/or routes to the appr opriate persons in order to optimize physician satisfaction.
Assists the manager in all aspects of the Physician Suspension Process by ensuring accuracy/assignment of physician deficiencies and completion of the Doned/Declined report in order to optimize physician satisfaction.
Assists with QA's in On-Base ,HIM Medical Record Review Audits, and Purge Process for scanned documents as assigned by manager in order to optimize clinical outcomes.
Brings all problems and concerns to supervisors attention with possible solutions to ensure that growth and financial goals are achieved.
Maintains and submits daily Productivity Logs to ensure that growth and financial goals are achieved.
Performs all duties in accordance to entity policies and procedures and other duties as assigned by management to optimize departmental and entity goals.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
High School or Equivalent (GED)
3 Months to 1 year technical
