This position is full-time and works approximately 40 hours per week.

T! his position is in the Department of OB/GYN - Gynecology. The position is located at the Medical School Campus.
Essential Functions
POSITION SUMMARY:
Position assists with research study, experiments, preparation of material, and documentation.
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Retrieves specimens from the OR and processes them according to appropriate clinical trial or banking protocol.
2. Complies with established safety procedures and maintains required documentation on laboratory and specimen conditions.
3. Performs data entry and maintains data files on research.
4. Coordinates tissue cultures, reagents, probe tests, etc.
5. Participates in developing hypotheses to be tested and ways of testing it.
6. Conducts research experiments and assays.
7. Evaluates research results, reporting findings and discussing project outcomes with staff involved.
8. Maintain! s general supply/equipment orders, responsible for lab mainten! ance and cleaning.
9. Handles weekly shipments of specimens, coordinated with the research staff.
10. Performs library research on specified topics.
11. Coordinates research projects with other institutions and investigators.
Required Qualifications
Equivalent of Bachelorâs degree with 2-3 years experience in laboratory operations.
Preferred Qualifications
Demonstrated ability to implement general laboratory procedures, conduct research, and record findings, with focus on pursuit of advanced education in field.
Salary Range
The hiring range for this position is $30,929 to $41,745 annually.
