The Director of Emergency Department at this 150-bed acute med surg hospital is accountable for excellence in the clinical practice and the deliver! y of patient care in the Emergency Department. The Director:
•Supervises human, physical, and other resources as needed to manage clinical nursing practice and patient care.
•Directs and oversees functions and activities in the Emergency Department.
•Recommends, develops, and implements policies, procedures, standards and regulations for staff, patients, medical staff and the public.
The 12-bed ER which will soon be completely remodeled is staffed by 30 FTEs and uses Meditech. The department averages 25,000 patient visits per year.
With a staff of more than 900 employees and 100 physicians, this hospital provides a full range of diagnostic, medical and surgical services. These services include cancer care, emergency services, orthopedics, cardiovascular care, neurodiagnostics, obstetrics and gynecology, pediatrics, outpatient services, diagnostic imaging, hospice, home health, medical equipment and community outreach and educa! tion.

Job Requirements
•BSN
•3+ years of emergency nursing experience
•1+ years of ED management experience preferred
•Current Missouri RN license
