Job Description: ASCEND Therapeutics (www.ascendtherapeutics.com), the US division of a multi-national, bio-pharmaceutical company focused on the development and use of transdermal drug delivery technology, is looking for a specialty sales professional to call on OB/GYN physicians and providers in women's health for a Kansas C! ity MO territory. The primary responsibility is to drive sales of our signature product, EstroGel ® 0.06% (estradiol gel),(www.estrogel.com), the first bio-identical, transdermal estrogen gel formulation, introduced in the US in 2004 and the #1 selling estrogen therapy in Europe and #1 transdermal in Canada. We are looking for a highly motivated, high energy, self starter with an entrepreneurial spirit that will be relentless in his/her pursuit of the sales performance objectives of our entire product portfolio, (www.ascendtherapeutics.com). The ideal candidate should be self motivated, able to excel in working independently and have documented, proven past sales success' in pharmaceutica! l and/or medical sales. Candidates must be able to show that t! hey can and have the ability to build and maintained strong, professional relationships with providers, staff and other decision makers in the past and in the future, to insure an immediate impact. Candidates must also have a strong aptitude to analyze and organize the provided data and to route a territory independently. They must also have strong oral presentation and communication skills as well as excellent written skills in order to be considered. The successful candidate must also have a scientific and clinical aptitude for learning medical information and the ability to communicate that knowledge to Specialists. The ability to analyze sales data reports (Excel®) is also vital, to be able to decipher such information and to determine where opportunities for growth are located in the territory and to follow up on any and all of those opportunities. Consistently calling on the Key accounts and building strong business relationships is also required and is vital to both! short and long term success. A 4 year college degree is mandatory and candidates must also successfully pass a drug test, background check and be authorized to work in the U.S. The candidate must also have a valid driver's license, a good driving record, a personal car for business use and be willing and able to travel, as necessary. The candidate must also presently live within the geography of this territory. No relocation fees will be considered for this position.
