This department works to ensure that our patients and visitors have an excellent first impression. Admitting representatives are responsible for the registration of patients of the hospital.
Role Purpose
To ensure prompt and efficient access to hospital care, by providing exceptional service to customers during the registration experience. Create a customer focused environment through effective communication with patients and guests. Accurately collect reimbursement information for clinical care and reimbursement. Coordinates and is responsible for patient registration for initiation of legal medical record and financial data.
Responsibilities
Registers out-patient and in-patients in an accurate and timely manner.
Ens! ures excellent internal and external customer satisfaction thr! ough, clear, caring, and professional communication with patients, families, and employees.
Collects copays.
Obtains information to verify patient's identity and collects insurance information.
Ensures each patient complete HIPAA acknowledgement and offers financial assistance information.
