LPN / Medical Assistant (Medical Office)
Job Description

We have provided excellent obstetric and gynecologic healthcare since 1968. Our physicians and nursing staff are well trained in the management of womens health and wellness. As our practice grows we are looking for the best in medical care to join our growing practice. We are seeking an energetic and self-motivated LPN or Certified Medical Assistant. LPN Licensed Practical Nurse - Certified Medical Assistant - Nurse - Healthcare
Job Responsibilities
As a Medical Assistant you will assist the physician with patient care including initial patient work-up, taking vital signs, obtaining medical history and their chief complaint. You will also be responsible for front desk duties such as answering the phone, scheduling appointments and check! ing patients in/out.

Other responsibilities of the! LPN role include:

  • Performing nursing procedures including phlebotomy, injections, precertification and triage
  • Assisting physician with scheduling follow up appointments and consultations
  • Educating patients after physician establishes the treatment plan
  • Ensuring that patients understand the treatment plan, the proper use of their medications and their responsibility for compliance with the treatment plan prior to leaving the office
  • Straightening, cleaning and stocking exam rooms before and after appointments
LPN Licensed Practical Nurse - Certified Medical Assistant - Nurse - Healthcare
Job Requirements
Qualified candidates of the Medical Assistant position are compassionate and motivated medical professionals dedicated to womens health and wellness. You should have patient care experience, excellent computer skills and must be comfortable in a fast paced environment. Ideally, OB/GYN experience is prefe! rred, but we are willing to training the right candidate!

Other requirements of the LPN role include:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • LPN or Medical Assistant certification
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Experience with triage and phlebotomy
  • Knowledge of diagnosis and procedure codes
  • Early morning, evening and some Saturday hours are mandatory
